PRODUCT SAFETY AND USE POLICY

1. Introduction
This Product Safety and Use Policy applies to all products supplied by General JT International Pty Ltd trading as Hoveroo ("Hoveroo", "we", "us", "our").
This policy outlines important safety guidance for the use of Hoveroo products, including hoverboards, ride-on vehicles, scooters, go karts and other mobility or recreational products.
Customers must read and follow all safety instructions provided with each product.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. General Safety Principles
Hoveroo products are recreational products and must be used responsibly.
Users must exercise caution and good judgement when operating any product.
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in injury or damage.
Users should always operate products:
- in a safe environment;
- in accordance with manufacturer instructions;
- in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Use by Children
Many Hoveroo products are intended for use by children.
Children must always be supervised by a responsible adult when using any ride-on or mobility product.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children:
- understand how to operate the product safely;
- operate the product only in appropriate environments;
- do not exceed the weight limits of the product.
Children should not use powered ride-on products in public roads or traffic environments.
4. Protective Equipment
Appropriate protective equipment should always be worn when operating ride-on or mobility products.
At a minimum, the following protective equipment is recommended:
- helmet;
- protective footwear;
- knee pads;
- elbow pads;
- wrist guards where appropriate.
Protective equipment significantly reduces the risk of injury.
Users must ensure that helmets and protective equipment are properly fitted and comply with applicable safety standards.
5. Safe Riding Environment
Hoveroo products should only be used in safe environments.
Users should operate products on:
- dry, smooth and stable surfaces;
- private property or designated recreational areas;
- areas free from traffic hazards.
Products should not be used:
- on public roads unless permitted by local laws;
- on steep slopes or unstable terrain unless specifically designed for such use;
- in crowded environments where collisions may occur.
6. Water Exposure
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Hoveroo products are not waterproof or water resistant.
Products may have limited resistance to light splashes of water.
Products should not be used:
- in rain;
- in puddles;
- in standing water;
- near swimming pools or water bodies.
Water exposure may damage electrical components and batteries.
Damage caused by water exposure may not be covered under warranty.
7. Battery Safety
Many Hoveroo products contain lithium battery systems.
Lithium batteries must be used and charged in accordance with safety instructions.
Users must:
- use only the charger supplied with the product;
- charge the product in a dry and ventilated area;
- disconnect the charger once charging is complete;
- keep the battery away from water.
- keep the battery away from heat sources.
Products should not be charged:
- overnight without supervision;
- near flammable materials;
- in extremely hot or cold environments.
If a battery becomes damaged, swollen or overheated, the product should not be used and the customer should contact Hoveroo.
8. Weight Limits
Each product has a recommended maximum rider weight.
Exceeding the recommended weight limit may cause damage to the product and may increase the risk of injury.
Customers should refer to the product specifications for the relevant weight limits.
Damage caused by exceeding weight limits may not be covered by warranty.
9. Proper Use of Products
Hoveroo products must be used only for their intended purpose.
Products should not be used for:
- stunt riding;
- jumping;
- aggressive riding;
- racing beyond normal recreational use.
Improper use may result in damage to the product or injury to the user.
10. Modifications
Products must not be modified without approval from Hoveroo.
Unauthorised modifications include:
- altering electrical components;
- installing third party batteries or chargers;
- modifying structural components.
Unauthorised modifications may create safety hazards and will void warranty coverage.
11. Inspection Before Use
Users should inspect the product before each use.
Users should check for:
- loose components;
- damaged parts;
- unusual noises;
- battery or electrical issues.
If any issue is identified, the product should not be used until inspected or repaired.
12. Storage and Maintenance
Products should be stored in a dry indoor environment.
Users should avoid storing products:
- in direct sunlight;
- in extreme heat;
- in wet or humid conditions.
Batteries should be charged periodically when products are stored for extended periods.
13. Injury or Safety Incidents
If a safety incident occurs involving a Hoveroo product, customers should immediately stop using the product and contact Hoveroo.
Hoveroo may request photographs, videos or further information to assess the issue.
14. Limitation of Responsibility
Hoveroo products are recreational products.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hoveroo is not responsible for injury or damage arising from:
- misuse of the product;
- failure to follow safety instructions;
- unauthorised modification of the product;
- use of the product in unsafe environments.
Nothing in this policy excludes rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
