WARRANTY POLICY
General JT International Pty Ltd (ABN 19 657 440 876) trading as Hoveroo
1. Introduction
General JT International Pty Ltd trading as Hoveroo ("Hoveroo", "we", "us", "our") provides the warranties described in this policy for products purchased through our website or authorised sales channels.
This Warranty Policy operates alongside and does not replace your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Products Covered by This Warranty
This Warranty Policy applies to the following product categories sold by Hoveroo:
- Hoverboards
- Off Road Hoverboards
- Hoverkarts
- Go Karts
- Small Go Karts
- Electric Dirt Bikes
- Electric Wiggle Cars
- 4x4 Kids Cars
- Small Kids Cars
- Push Scooters
- Quad Bikes
- Dump Trucks
- Forklifts
- 5 in 1 Rocking Horse products
- Associated accessories supplied with the above products
This policy applies to all Hoveroo branded products and products supplied under the Voltrix and Elektra brands where sold by Hoveroo.
3. Standard Warranty Period
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, Hoveroo provides a 12 month limited warranty from the date of purchase covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Consumable components and accessories may carry a shorter warranty period.
Examples include:
- Batteries
- Chargers
- Tyres
- Protective gear
- Decorative or cosmetic components
These items typically carry a 6 month warranty unless otherwise required under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. Components With Shorter Warranty Periods
Certain components are considered consumable items and are subject to shorter warranty periods due to normal wear and tear.

6. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers manufacturing defects that arise during normal and intended use of the product.
Examples include:
- Electrical faults caused by manufacturing defects
- Battery defects arising from manufacturing issues
- Mechanical failures due to faulty components
- Defects in assembly
- Product components failing under normal intended use
Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, Hoveroo may elect to:
- repair the product
- replace the product
- provide a refund where required under the Australian Consumer Law
7. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by circumstances outside normal use.
Examples include misuse or improper use, including:
- Riding or operating the product in an unsafe manner
- Using the product in a way inconsistent with instructions
- Exceeding recommended weight limits
- Operating the product on unsuitable terrain
Accidental damage, including:
- Impact damage
- Water damage where the product is not designed for immersion
- Damage caused by collisions, drops or improper transport
Unauthorised modifications or repairs, including:
- Alterations to electrical components
- Use of non-approved replacement parts
- Third party repairs not authorised by Hoveroo
Normal wear and tear, including:
- Tyre wear
- Scratches or cosmetic damage
- Battery performance reduction over time
Failure to follow maintenance instructions or safety warnings.
8. Battery Warranty and Proper Use
Products supplied by Hoveroo may contain lithium battery systems.
Battery performance may vary depending on factors including:
- rider weight
- terrain conditions
- temperature
- riding style
- charging practices
Battery degradation over time is normal and is not considered a defect.
The battery warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
Battery warranties do not cover damage caused by:
- overcharging
- use of incompatible chargers
- improper charging practices
- deep discharge caused by extended storage without charging
- exposure to water or excessive heat
Customers must use only the charger supplied with the product unless otherwise approved by Hoveroo.
9. Water Exposure
Certain products may have limited resistance to light splashes of water.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products are not waterproof.
Products should not be used:
- in rain
- in puddles
- in standing water
- near swimming pools or water bodies
Water exposure may damage electrical components and batteries.
Damage caused by water exposure may not be covered under warranty.
10. Rough Riding and Misuse
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use or misuse of the product.
Examples include:
- riding beyond the recommended terrain capability
- jumping, stunt riding, or aggressive riding
- exceeding weight limits
- collisions with objects
- operating the product in unsafe conditions
Ride-on products are designed for recreational use and are not intended for stunt riding or aggressive use.
11. Accidental Damage
The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents including:
- dropping the product
- impact damage
- structural damage caused by collisions
- improper transportation
12. Modifications and Unauthorised Repairs
This warranty does not apply where the product has been:
- modified
- altered
- repaired by a person not authorised by Hoveroo
- fitted with non-approved parts
Unauthorised modification of electrical components may create safety risks and will void the warranty.
13. Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim customers must provide:
- proof of purchase
- order number
- description of the issue
- photographs or video where relevant
Hoveroo may request that the product be returned for inspection before determining whether the warranty applies.
14. Return and Inspection
Where a product must be returned for inspection, customers must contact Hoveroo before sending the product.
Products containing lithium batteries must be packaged in accordance with transport safety requirements.
15. Limitation of Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hoveroo’s liability under this warranty is limited to the remedies set out in this policy.
Nothing in this policy limits rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
